Our History
For more than 30 years, Terri Pentz owned and operated Island Paint and Decorating. A licensed Interior Designer, Terri provided customers with a one-stop source for projects of all sizes — from unique individual pieces of décor to full house design, Terri’s eye for both the trendy and timeless earned her a reputation as a top-designer in the area. Meanwhile, Billy Pentz had been designing some of the area’s finest kitchens and baths for over 20 years as the owner of The East Coast Cabinet Company. Beginning his career in a cabinet manufacturing facility before moving into sales, his company would eventually become known for providing an unmatched level of service and quality.
Through a shared vision of delivering a client-focused, comprehensive remodel and design experience, Terri and Billy Pentz leveraged their collective expertise and merged The East Coast Cabinet Company with Island Paint and Decorating in 2017, creating Pullman West. Together, they built a one-of-a-kind showroom with an extensive materials library that provides a curated approach to home renovation and design that is cohesive and unique to each client’s personal style.
The Pullman West Name
Back when railroads stitched the United States together, there was one name synonymous with stylish and comfortable train travel: The Pullman Car Company. Inspired by the railroad tracks that run parallel to what is now the Pullman West showroom and The Pullman Car Company’s mission to provide an unparalleled level of service to its customers, the name and ethos of Pullman West was born.
