For years, these homeowners dreamed of entertaining large family gatherings and social events, but the center wall that ran the length of their home constricted all the rooms into a maze. There were many design renditions where the wall remained to save money, but with one more idea up the designer’s sleeve, half of the home would be transformed into an entertainer’s ideal space. The homeowner’s new appliances were able to be shifted to accommodate a wine bar, accessible drawer microwave, and stunning mosaic feature wall. Even their furry friends can join the party on the cushioned bench seat that looks out a large window. With this one framing feat, the natural lighting can now pour through the home, inviting any guests to sit, grab a cup of coffee, and catch up together.

• Skillfully illuminating all surfaces and living spaces with generous recessed LED ceiling lights, undercabinet task lighting, and stunning chandeliers that will start a conversation
• Designing the new kitchen layout with semi-custom cabinetry, complete with utensil pull-outs, baking tray dividers, sliding shelves, matching island table legs, and drawers in abundance
• Tying in the neutral tones with a hand-laid mosaic tile backsplash
• Offering six comfortable chairs around the island that warm up the space with their rich blues and brass leg tips
• Installing a roller shade over the bench seat window to allow natural lighting in without sacrificing privacy
