This Merritt Island home’s original 90s design was in desperate need of a reality check! The minimal storage solutions, a broken jetted tub, and tile falling off the shower walls were not cutting it for its new owners. The desire for clean lines, a simplified color palette, and more practical storage were absolute musts—and oh, did Pullman West deliver! The bathroom was transformed to provide more visual breathing room, a perfect union between a sophisticated presence and genuine practicality.

The function and aesthetic of this remodel were dramatically increased through…

• Illuminating all areas and surfaces through the customized placement of generous cool LEDs and accent lighting.
• Removing existing builder-grade tile and replacing it with 615 square feet of durable porcelain planking that brought a warmth to the entire owner’s suite. The flooring installation was completed with all new baseboards and door casings.
• Removing the existing stained-glass appearance to the large picture window and sandblasting it for privacy.
• Removing the large expanse of plate glass and accenting the walls instead with a lighted mirror and softly lit wall sconces.
• Livening the blank white walls with a fresh coat of neutral paint that has the subtlest hint of green.
• Elevating the black and white design with refined marble tile along the shower floor and bathroom walls.
• A complete redesign of the cabinetry, resulting in a more functional routine space. A pantry cabinet with an outlet inside was incorporated to house electric toothbrushes, shavers, and general storage of bottles.
• Replacing the existing built-in tub with a freestanding soaking tub.
• Allowing the abundance of natural lighting to flow through the room once the drywall enclosure of the shower was removed and replaced with glass.
