A young family wanted the ultimate function and beauty for their kitchen. The modern vibe with just a touch of Florida fronds satisfies their desires. Along with the hardworking and gorgeous quartz tops with a waterfall edge, Pullman West added a Galley Workstation™, a desk area, LED lighting, and gorgeous Lucite barstools. Structurally transforming the space was no easy feat, but the thoughtful space planning it underwent gave this family a more open concept to grow together.

The function and aesthetic of this remodel were dramatically increased through…

• Structurally transitioning load-bearing walls to allow for a more open kitchen, dining, and living room area
• Removing existing glue-down flooring that was popping and replaced the entire first floor with 1,250 square feet of light blonde tones of luxury vinyl planking that helped the space feel larger
• Giving the walls a neutral wash to allow statement pieces like the quartz countertops and full height backsplash, textured wallpaper, and gold fixtures to do the talking
• Incorporating a six-foot Galley Workstation into the new island—a sink with multi-tiered utility that allows for customizable function and efficient transitions between the phases of cooking
• Redesigning the entire kitchen to not only have twice the cabinet space, but also with frameless style boxes that maximizes all storage capabilities
• Installing a complete lighting package, complete with beautiful bronze and natural colors that provide added warmth over the island, entryway, and across multiple ceiling fans
• Modifying all electric in the kitchen area to accommodate under- and over-cabinet lighting, hidden outlet bars underneath the wall cabinetry, new appliance locations, and all new recessed LEDs in the ceiling.
