Cape Canaveral Coordinating Baths

Living in a smaller beachside townhome, maximizing storage and increasing lighting was to be desired. Heavily set on selling the home in several years, the homeowners wanted their two bathrooms to remain with a neutral palette without sacrificing a “Wow!” factor. The lighter toned wood, simply designed nickel fixtures, and soft white countertops were complimented by the geometric patterned tile placed on a feature wall for each shower. Working within size constraints, the designers on the job made use of empty corners and opportunities for compact features. Although the end goal was simple and sleek, a whimsical porcelain flower chandelier in the master bathroom could not be resisted.

This project was sold at $65,000 in September of 2020

The function and aesthetic of this remodel were dramatically increased through…

  • Making use of awkward angles that created dead space by redesigning the vanity with additional cabinetry and quartz countertops
  • Removing the existing small format tile in the shower, not only to repair ongoing water damage, but to replace with 12” x 36” tiles that make cleaning a breeze
  • Bidding farewell to the 12” x 12” builder grade floor tile and laying 144 square feet of 12” x 24” porcelain flooring that mimics the soft sand texture of nearby beaches
  • Encouraging the master bathroom to be fresh and spacious through the custom shower glass, removing the need for a shower curtain or any light-blocking fabrics
  • Introducing a touch of sophistication within the warm ambient lighting of the brass vanity wall lights and centered chandelier
  • Creating a total spa experience in the master shower by incorporating two showerheads with separate valves. Accompanied by the sliding hand shower, the overall hydro experience even makes for a pleasant cleaning experience
  • Maximizing storage and walking space in the guest bathroom with a compact elongated toilet, mirror with sliding storage capabilities, and a narrow toilet topper cabinet
  • Omitting all pink tones brought on by the existing paint colors and washing both bathrooms with a warmer gray.
